The First Xbox Game Pass Games of 2026 Reveal Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.
Everywhere you go, fans keep sounding the death bells for the Xbox brand. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a platform few have heard of. Platform-specific outlets began covering regarding Sony's platform unprecedentedly. The past year represented an era of significant turmoil for the Xbox ecosystem. Yet, based exclusively on the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it is apparent that Microsoft still intends to engage players with quality releases on its premier subscription.
The Available Now Titles
The two games that are immediately available today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass soon that's truly noteworthy.
Major Titles on the Horizon
Starting January 13th, the platform will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that deviates from typical Ubisoft design with a cosmic robbery tale. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, hailed in past assessments as "a superb mixture of terror and combat."
Intriguing Niche Additions
Yet, the less-hyped additions set to join the catalog are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that's a blast to play, arrives January 7th — and you should try it whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year might get its hooks in you remarkably quickly.
Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by Rebellion Developments, is another one to watch. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.
A Robust Selection of Games
All in all, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that justify the service by themselves. But Microsoft's additions here are exceptionally strong. There's a good mixture of old games you might have missed and fairly new titles that didn't get the attention they were due initially — which makes them ideal prospects to find a new audience on Game Pass.
Hope you're ready to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
