Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window

An aircraft transporting the US defense secretary was required to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the jet's front window, according to an official statement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.

"The aircraft touched down based on established safety measures and all passengers, such as Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative commented in a social media post.

He was traveling back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.

This incident does not mark the initial instance that a US military aircraft carrying a high-ranking official has encountered technical problems.

Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was forced to return to Washington after encountering a mechanical fault.
