FC Barcelona Set to Play Inaugural Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday
Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in La Liga two and a half years following their departure to allow renovations to start.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. The club said completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.
Recent Activities
The club conducted a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch in early November. Officials stated approval is being pursued from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side on 9 December at the stadium. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
