British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Lagos Following Tragic Car Crash
Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, officials in Lagos announced on Wednesday evening. The fighter was caught in a vehicular crash outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a tragic incident that claimed the lives of two of his close associates.
Healing from Light Wounds
The boxer had remained in the hospital while recovering from minor injuries, his management team had said on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to “recuperate at home”.
“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two departed friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked.
A Tribute to the Fallen
The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the champion was filled with sorrow and full of emotions over the passing of his two dear friends.”
