Beloved Star The actor Pat Finn, Famed For Appearances in The Middle and Friends, Has Died at 60 Years Old.
American entertainer Pat Finn, who appeared in beloved programs like Friends, "Seinfeld" and "The Middle", has died aged 60.
The skilled improv artist passed away at his residence in Los Angeles recently having undergone cancer treatment since 2022, as reported by media reports.
"Pat Finn saw everyone as a friend - just potential friends he hadn't encountered," his loved ones shared in a statement.
They added that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with happiness and energy".
A Prolific Television Career
His initial on-screen part was on the George Wendt Show in the mid-90s, where he portrayed the lead character's sibling.
He was also seen in a regular part on Murphy Brown in the latter half of the 1990s.
He appeared as a party host named Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in 1998, portraying a party host famous for delegating burdensome jobs to his guests.
Throughout the 90s and 2000s, he made guest appearances on several popular shows, like:
- King of Queens
- Friends
- That '70s Show
- House, M.D.
Finn was perhaps best known for his portrayal of the character Bill Norwood in "The Middle", starring in eight series between 2011 and 2018.
His work in movies encompass "It's Complicated" and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.
Beyond the Screen
Beyond his acting parts, Finn was an improv performer and also taught at the Colorado university, where he was a professor.
He was involved with a six-person improv troupe named Beer Shark Mice.
"Finn taught, supported, and inspired numerous pupils throughout the years and it's nearly impossible to find someone anyplace who has anything negative to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
Offering condolences, peer Richard Kind remarked there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, helping you be funnier and better. A great dad, a great guy," he posted on social media.
The actor is survived by his spouse Donna, three children, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
